Before you take your dog outside to exercise, determine how much exercise your dog needs some do need more exercise than others.
If it's too cold for you outside then your dog probably will feel colder than you.
Dogs with short fur coats, small dogs and old dogs will need more attention because they are less likely to fare well in cold temperatures.
Temperatures below 32F can be dangerous for your dog with highly possible hypothermia below 20F and frostbite.
The wind chill and weather elements in place like ice and snow also need to be considered when making the decision to exercise and how long. Bundling up can also be helpful.❄
