Shelter dogs generally are animals rescued from living under terrible conditions, unloved and a neglected.
These animals long for a second chance in life to just love their new owners. This the reason why they are very loyal to their new owners.
Many of shelter animals are older dogs which have been house broken no need to train them.

They have been around people and other animals this makes it easy for them to settle down easily in a new environment.
Rescue shelters are crowded because there are many such animals. Adopting a rescue animal not only reduces crowding but also saves a pets life.
The shelters have a variety of dog breeds so offers a wide selection to those willing to adopt and also reduces the amount of money you spend getting a dog.

Adopting a shelter dog gives you a chance to strengthen your training skills as you learn about training and behavior from experts before you adopt the dog.
In a shelter dog especially for people who live alone you can find a companion who can listen to their problems without interrupting or judging them. Since these dogs love hiking walking and running you can also do these activities with them.
Having a shelter dog is good when you have children growing up because they are good at teaching some aspects of empathy and responsibility.
Each shelter dog has a unique story, personality and quirks which makes it special.
